One day workshop was conducted for Principals on 12th December 2024 at Hotel LeRuchi, Mysore. The topic for the workshop was Prevention of Sexual harassment at work place and also Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses. The training session was conducted by Col Ravi(Retd) The importance of the POSH and POCSO act was very well explained by the resource person. There were more than 70 school Principals, Vice Principals, School Counsellors and Senior teachers attended the session. The second general body meeting of MSSC was held soon after the completion of training session and discussed about the way forward with regard to MSSC activities for educators and leaders
An exclusive, hands-on workshop titled “A Step-by-Step Approach to Coding & Understanding Artificial Intelligence.” was held for the computer science teachers of the MSSC member schools on 29th November 2024 in association with ‘KIPS Learning’ Mr. Udhay Shankar Polavaram was the resource person for the session. There were more than 85 teachers benefited from the session
Mysore Sahodaya School Complex in association with ‘Password House Publishing Pvt Ltd’ organised one day workshop for teachers of Kindergarten on 20th November 2024 on the topic ‘A 360 degree approach to ECCE’. The workshop focus was on the importance of early care and education. Mr.Bineesh K Menon was the Resource Person. There were more than 110 teachers participated in the workshop and expressed their happiness about the usefulness of the session
Mysore Sahodaya School Complex has conducted ‘Guru Utsav 2024’ an event to honour teachers on 14th September 2024 at De Paul International School & College auditorium. It was an annual event of MSSC to recognise the contribution of educators to the field of education. More than 1200 teachers participated in the event. Mr. K. K Muthanna a senior educationist and former Principal of JSS Public school was felicitated on the day. Prof S Giridhar, Member of Azim Premji University was the keynote speaker of the day who spoke about the role of teachers in shaping the society. This mega event concluded with a variety of cultural programmes performed by teachers of member schools.
One day workshop for Science and Mathematics teachers of member schools of MSSC was organised on 29th July 2024 at Manasarovar Pushkarini Vidyashram, Mysore. The workshop was conducted by ‘Connecting The Dots’ organisation from Bangalore. Mr. Rajesh Rao, CEO of Connecting the dots was the resource person along with Ms. Rashmi Kikshit. Unique teaching techniques and mis conception among teachers were highlighted in the session. More than 100 teachers participated in the workshop
Mysore Sahodaya School Complex had their Annual General Body Meeting on 16th March 2024. On the same day in the morning Dr. Senthil Kumaran Chief Confluencer and Co- Founder, the learners Confluence, conducted a 3 hours session titled “Leveraging SQAA Framework for my School.”
He told the leaders to work on the quality of process and practices followed in schools. He emphasized on the shift of mindset and the readiness of the leaders and the team for the change. He also hinted that big changes are on its way in the Indian Education system and the schools must understand that datas and evidences play a very important role in bringing about the changes. He also asked the leaders of schools to relook at all the documents that a school must maintain and strengthen them every year.
86 participants attended this session and applauded Dr. Senthil for the clarity and simplicity of his presentation. MSSC had the Annual General Body Meeting as the concluding activity of the day where the new office bearers were elected for the term period of 2024-26.
Mysore Sahodaya School Complex conducted a Leadership Workshop and the First General Body Meeting on 26th July, Wednesday 9.00 AM to 4.00PM in Hotel Le Ruchi. The Resource Person for the Principals’ workshop was Dr. Kannan Girish M D, Child Psychiatrist & Founder, LiveLife Education There were 72 participants in this programme. The topic for the day was LEADER IN ME
Dr. Kannan’s enthusiasm was an energy booster to all. He started with an energiser on celebrating every accomplishment. He insisted that the Principals in room must drop all guards and participate in the entire day’s programme. Dr. Stephen Covey’s leadership principles were discussed. Dr. Kannan shared his success stories to motivate the leaders in the room to be empathetic, to communicate effectively, to take risks, to build trust in the organization and lot more.
MSSC had the General Body Meeting as the concluding activity of the day where Inter-schools Teachers competition and Guru Utsav 2023 was discussed.
A Two Day Workshop was hosted by MSSC, in collaboration with Excel Public School, Mysore for Foundational School Teachers (Pre-School to Class 2) on 3rd and 4th April 2023 and for Preparatory School Teachers (Classes 3 to 5) on 5th and 6th April. The event was conducted by JODO GYAN, a trust for Learning and Cooperation. The venue of the workshop was Excel Public School. Around 60 teachers participated in each of these workshops.
Some of the teachers have referred the whole event as an eye opener because they were shown very interesting and innovative methods and materials to make the subject appealing. Math games and learning materials were shown for introduction of concepts, skill practice, reinforcing learning and problem solving. It was a great learning experience and a relevant one at the time when country is seeing a transformation in its education system through the introduction of NEP 2020 and the implementation of NCF document for the Foundational stage.
On December 20th 2023, Delhi Public School hosted a Capacity Building Programme on Social Science. The event was organised by MSSC as part of its Teacher Training initiatives. The Resource Person Mrs. Sarada Chandrasekaran, Academic Director and Head of Institution, White Field Global School, Bangalore, a seasoned educator and trainer conducted the session. The programme had some wonderful strategies that every teacher can take back to the classrooms. 87 teachers attended the programmes and they were greatly benefitted from this experience. Multiple Intelligence and its implication in the classroom, Teaching strategies, integration of subjects were some of the topics discussed.
With the ambitious NEP in the background and waiting for the implementation of it across the country, Early Childhood Care and Education has gained a lot of significance. Teachers and parents are closely watching the developments. In this context MSSC in association with PASSWORD Publications organized a programme for the Pre- Primary teachers of MSSC member schools on 8th December 2022. Mr. Binesh K Menon, Principal, Canadian Central School, Kerala was the Resource Person. The training was in Hotel Le Ruchi, Mysore. It was an interactive session with a lot of fun and a great learning experience for all the participants. 90 teachers from various member schools of MSSC attended the session and were all in praise for it.
MSSC had its second General Body Meeting on 16th November 2022 at Hotel Le Ruchi. 59 school Principals were in attendance. The guest speaker for the day was Mr. Harish Machia, Ex-Chairman, NIPM Mysuru Chapter, a renowned personality coach and motivational speaker.
Mr. Harish Machia’s talk was on 'Managing the Present to Lead the Future'. His eloquence and vocabulary left every one speechless. The conviction with which he spoke inspired the leaders to make a difference and keep evolving. His energy and enthusiasm filled positivity in the hall. It was a very introspective session. The main Agenda of the General Body was to discuss about Capacity Building Programmes to be conducted under MSSC banner. Three new Schools were inducted into MSSC. Principals showed a lot of interest to go on an outbound programme exclusively for the leaders. It was a great day of learning for all the Principals.
COVID-19, LOCKDOWN, ONLINE CLASSES, LEARNING GAP, LEARNING LOSS had clouded our mind since two years and we as educators were effected a great deal but amidst all the chaos one Community that transformed the scenario of Education during pandemic, stayed resilient , updated themselves in short period and fought like warriors were the Edu-warriors, the Teachers. They need to be celebrated.
After a gap of two years Mysore Sahodaya School Complex, MSSC organized Guru Utsav- 2022 in De paul International School & College auditorium on 10 th September 2022 at 3.00pm. As the tradition goes, a senior teacher Prof. Prabhuprasad, Former Principal Maharani’s Science College Mysuru, Chairman of Bhagawan Shri Satya Sai Baba Mahila and Makkala Kuta was felicitated for his outstanding contribution in the field of education. Sri. P Balachandran, Former CEO Manipal Foundation was the Key-note speaker. The formal programme was followed by a cultural extravaganza. Teachers from 16 schools presented their cultural programmes. It was a vibrant gathering of 1500 teachers from different MSSC member schools. Principals, Management members and the teachers at one place was a good combination indeed. All in all it was a great show.
MSSC had a great start of the Academic year 2022-23 with the General Body Meeting on 29th July 2022 at Hotel Le Ruchi the Prince, Mysore. 67 school Principals were in attendance. As the tradition goes there was a Guest Speaker for the day. Dr. Chetan Ram, much known Educationalist and Motivational Speaker of Mysore addressed the principals on staying disciplined and motivated and his energy and enthusiasm left all the principals amazed. He urged the Principals to go beyond their duties to ensure the best for the learners in their own schools. The main Agenda of the General Body was to encourage schools to host CBSE Training programmes for teachers and Interschool competitions for students. It was decided that Guru Utsav would be a major celebration this year and the planning would start very soon. All in all it was a great day for the principals.

Mrs.Rajeshwari Principal, SVEI Public School as joint secretary. The newly elected members have included the following Principals in the executive body of MSSC. Mr. Radhakrishna, Principal, Baden Powell Public School, Mr.Andrew Linto, Principal, St.Thomas English medium school, Mr. Anurag, Principal, Maharishi Public School and Sr.Vineetha, Principal, St.Rossello Central school.
MSSC in association with ‘PowerSchool’ organized a one day workshop for the Principals of the member schools of Mysore ahodaya School Complex on 18th December 2021 at ‘Regnetra Central Herald Royal Orchid Hotels, Mysore. The Panel discussion on the topic ‘Back To School: How Education Can Emerge Stronger Than Before’ was moderated by Mrs. Rajeshwari Iyer, Principal, Mahajana Public School Mysore. Mr. Mathew K.G, Principal, EPS Public School, Mysore, Mrs. Machamma, Principal, STG Public school, Chinakuruli, Mr. Sivakumar, Principal Lions Sevaniketana School, Mysore and Mr. Nikhil Gupta, Associate Director, PowerSchool were the panel members. PowerSchool, #1 provider of K – 12 education technology software presented about how they can empower teachers and students around the world with superior classroom tools designed to maximize achievement. The programme compeered by Mrs. Harshida Harikumar, Principal, Manasarovar Pushkarni Vidyasharam, Mysore President of MSSC, Mr.Krishna Bangera, the Principal of Podar International School, Mysore made the opening remarks and extended welcome to guests and gathering. Mysore Sahodaya School Complex organized workshop in Mathematics for teachers of the member schools on 21st November 2019. The topic chosen was ‘Effective Techniques of Teaching Mathematics’. The resource person for the session was Dr. Aditi Singhal from New Delhi. She is the Guinness world record holder for teaching largest Math lesson. There were many teaching techniques were discussed and techniques of Vedic Mathematics were discussed. The venue for the workshop was Hotel Pai Vista, Mysore. Mysore Sahodaya in association with ‘I Max’ organized workshop for Principals of the member schools on the topic ‘Smart Phone as The Game Changer In Education’. The workshop was held on 25th October 2019 at ‘Fortune J P Palace’ Mysore. Mr. Vinay Venkat, the product development Manager of I Max was the resource person. Mr Vinay venkat focused on the importance of class room teaching and the role of leadership. Also emphasis was given on empowering the school educators. He said that the survey findings reveal that if the educators are empowered then the learning will take place more effectively. Mysore Sahodaya President Mr. Krishna Bangera shared the need of intervention of technology in school education.

This year Mr. Anantha Kumar, the Managing Trustee of Divya Deepa Charitable Trust was felicitated for his outstanding contribution in the field of education through his non conventional school ‘Kaliyuva Mane’. Prof Venkatesha Murthy, Dean, Research and Head, Department of Extension Education Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru was the key note speaker. Mysore Sahodaya School Complex has organized, ‘CBSE School Principal’s Interaction with Regional Officer’, Mr. Tarun Kumar of Regional Office Bengaluru, on 3rd August 2019. Mr. Tarun Kumar presented his speech using powerpoint presentation. At the end of his speech he has answered all the questions raised by the CBSE School Principals. The school leaders from Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Shimogga, K. R Nagara and other cities attended this meeting. Prof Krishnan Kutty, Chairman, Amrita Vidya Peedam took session on the topic ‘Fish Philosophy’. Dr. Sharada Chandrasekaran, Principal, Whitefiled Global School Bangalore took session on ‘Hubs of Learning’. Br. Anand Shenoi, the Chairman of Amrita Vishwa Vidya Peedam, was the guest of honour. President of MSSC thanked RO Benglauru for his time and interaction with the Principals. He also thanked Amrita Vishwa Vidya Peedam, Coimbatore for their association with MSSC.
General Body Meeting of Mysore Sahodays School Complex was held on 19th January 2019 at Podar International School, Mysore. The main agenda for the meeting was to take decision with regard to organizing National Conference for School Leaders at Infosys campus, Mysore. The decision was made to organize the conference. The other points of the agenda were discussed.
MSSC has organized one day workshop for the school leaders of its member schools on the topic ‘Target and Goal Setting for New Generation Schools. The workshop was held on 11th December 2018 at Hotel Pai Vista. Mr. Joji Paul, the Principal of Benchmark International School Tirur, Kerala was the resource person for the session. Mr. Joji Paul’s input with regard to living up to the needs and requirements of present generation was well received by all the participants. MSSC express heartfelt gratitude to Macmillan Education for sponsoring the whole programme at the venue.
A Teacher, plays an important role in the life of any children under his/her care. This noble profession has its own respect in the society and expectations. To express gratitude to whole of the teaching community, MSSC has organizes ‘Guru Utsav’ every year. On 8th September 2018, Guru Ursav was held at ‘Rajendra Kala Mandir, Mysore’. On the day MSSC has felicitated Dr. S Venkatesan, a renowned educationist working for All India Institute for Speech and Hearing, Mysore. Yogashree Dr. B.R Seetharam, Founder Director- ‘Paramahamsa Yoga Therapy Center’, has given key note address to motivate the teachers. More than one thousand teachers from around 55 CBSE schools have attended this programme.
The annual general body meeting of Mysore Sahodaya School Complex was held on 21st July 2018 at Hotel Pai Vista, Mysore. All the office bearers who have completed two years of their respective offices, handed over their charge to the new office bearers. Mr. Krishna Bangera, Principal of Podar International School Mysore became the new President and Mr. William Pushparaj S, the Principal of Shikshkarni Central School became the Vice President of MSSC. Mr. Sivakumar Principal of Mysore West Lions Sevaniketan School was elected as new Secretary of MSSC. Mr. Bhutesh, Principal of Mahabodhi School became the new treasurer and Ms. Nagaveni, Principal of Delhi Public School became the joint secretary with immediate effect. Ms. M. S Rajeshwari Iyer, Principal Mahajan Public School and Ms. Seema K.P, Principal of Sharada Public School continued their office as Executive members. The new executive committee members selected are Ms. Elizabeth Thomas, Principal of St Joseph’s Central School, Yelawala, Mr. Pavan Kumar N.R, Principal of Viveka School of Excellence and Dr. B. Nirupama, Principal of Netaji Public School.
